Online Instructors (High School - Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Health, Physical Education, Driver's Education, World Language, Business, Technology, Art, Music)

Specific Duties

- Instruct and drive the academic progress of students in 1:1 live web meetings, email, and phone

- Maintain a productive, high-performing, and motivating learning environment using effective classroom management strategies

- Communicate challenging concepts in an easy to understand manner

- Provide outstanding service to clients

- Record student performance, track student's progress, and finalize student grades in a timely manner

- Perform administrative tasks as necessary

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree with a state specific teaching certificate in the subject area(s) taught

- Previous experience as a teacher

- In-depth knowledge of subject area, standards based educational practices, and familiarity with state and national educational standards

- Proven computer and internet skills

- Online education experience as an instructor or student is a plus, but not required

- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills

- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff

- High energy with sincere desire to improve young lives

- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to situations as they may change
